The Backstory
Salt Sprays are not new to the market, whilst they all boast the elusive ‘fresh from the surf’ feel, some are too sticky, others too crunchy and worst of all; most of them smell like Nana’s perfume.
Equally, for years there has been market demand for a Barbers Tonic to be used as a building product before blow drying to create extra volume and position to the hair ready for styling.
The Uppercut Deluxe product team set out to create a product for our landlocked mates, a Salt Spray with a perfectly balanced formulation to lightly control, add some wave and create the perfect carefree style.
On the path of creation, the product team wanted to make sure that the Uppercut Deluxe Salt Spray was multi-function. The outcome was a product for two extremes of groomers – they guy who likes to look carefree, and the guy who is all about the optimal finish.
After countless rounds of testing, and a couple of R&D trips to the beach, the team finally perfected Uppercut Deluxe Salt Spray.
